Clinical Neuroradiology: A Case-Based Approach is designed to be a textbook that allows the reader to study neuroradiology in clinical context while teaching a great deal of applied neuroanatomy and neurology as well.
The book is divided into sections dealing with a specific anatomic region of the nervous system: cerebellum, medulla, pons, midbrain, diencephalon, and cerebral cortex. Each chapter begins with a general discussion of relevant neuroanatomy followed by represented cases with accompanying images. The author then provides a discussion emphasizing specific anatomic and radiologic points as well as a subsection entitled “clinical notes” which provides further clinical correlation. At the end of the book is a chapter that reviews stroke imaging currently in use and currently available therapies, including IV and intracranial recombinant tissue plasminogen activator and mechanical clot extraction.
