Editors' Note: Commenting on “Early EEG contributes to multimodal outcome prediction of postanoxic coma,” Sethi reports his own experience with EEG and postanoxic coma outcome and asks the authors to provide additional details regarding their data. Commenting on the same article, Lattanzi and Silvestrini suggest that a more conservative approach of reducing the weight of the low-voltage tracing might improve the specificity and accuracy of the predictive value of early EEG. The authors of the study, Hofmeijer et al., provide additional details and clarification regarding their data and explain why they agree with some, but not all, of Lattanzi and Silvestrini's observations.—Chafic Karam, MD, and Robert C.
