Eric Ahlskog is a Professor of Neurology and Movement Disorders at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He has undertaken a unique project since these books are meant to be companion volumes, one for patients with Parkinson disease (PD) and one that addresses the same materials, but directed at physicians. I read the book for patients, The Parkinson's Disease Treatment Book: Partnering With Your Doctor To Get The Most From Your Medication, when it was first published several years ago, and I thought it was an encyclopedic treatment of aspects of the diagnosis, evolution of symptomatology, and treatment of PD.
