Impact of insurance status on migraine care in the United States: A population-based study
The authors analyzed 11 years of data which surveyed patient visits to doctors' offices, hospital outpatient departments, and emergency departments for migraine care in the U.S. They found that the uninsured, and those with Medicaid, received substandard therapy for migraine in physicians' offices but better care in emergency departments.
