Dr. Suhayl Dhib-Jalbut Appointed Chairman at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School
Suhayl Dhib-Jalbut, MD, was appointed Chairman of the Department of Neurology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Dhib-Jalbut came from the University of Maryland in Baltimore where he was Professor of Neurology and Research Scientist at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. He is widely published in the fields of neuroimmunology and neurovirology. His current research focuses on the understanding of the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis (MS), the mechanisms of action of immune therapies in MS, and the interaction between the immune and nervous systems. Of his new position, Dr. Dhib-Jalbut comments, “Robert Wood Johnson presented an opportunity with the resources needed to expand an academic department with strong collaboration in neuroscience and immunology.”
Dr. Dhib-Jalbut’s wife, Dr. Maral Mouradian, was recently named the William Dow Lovett Professor of Neurology at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
New Chairman Named at Jefferson Medical College
Abdolmohamad Rostami, MD, PhD, has been named Professor and Chair of Neurology at the Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
