NOMINATIONS SOUGHT FOR EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE EUROPEAN STROKE COUNCIL
The European Stroke Council (ESC) serves as the coordinating body of the European Stroke Conferences, the journal Cerebrovascular Diseases, the European Stroke Initiative, and the European Stroke Summer Schools. Current members of the Executive Committee include Julien Bogousslavsky (chairman), Bo Norrving (secretary), Gian Luigi Lenzi (treasurer), Antoni Dávalos, José Ferro, Werner Hacke, Markku Kaste (liaison to other stroke organizations), Kennedy Lees, and Didier Leys. The ESC has 186 members: 163 active academic members, 20 corresponding members, and 3 clinical members.
The next general assembly will take place in Vienna on Friday, May 26, 2000, and will run in conjunction with the European Stroke Conference. At that time, four new members of the Executive Committee of the ESC will be elected. The ESC is also forming an International Advisory Committee with one to two representatives needed from each country.
All nominations and letters of support for both the ESC Executive Committee and the International Advisory Committee should be sent to Dr. Bo Norrving, Secretary, Department of Neurology, University Hospital, Lund, Sweden …

- Submissions must be < 200 words with < 5 references. Reference 1 must be the article on which you are commenting.
- Submissions should not have more than 5 authors. (Exception: original author replies can include all original authors of the article)
- Submit only on articles published within 6 months of issue date.
- Do not be redundant. Read any comments already posted on the article prior to submission.
- Submitted comments are subject to editing and editor review prior to posting.
