The editor, Dr. Robert Griggs, has asked me to edit the newsletter of Neurology. It will continue to have items of interest from the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) supplementing or providing information that does not come out in the AANews, as well as information from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the Residency Review Committee. We welcome releases by other neurologic organizations such as The Association of University Professors of Neurology, the World Federation of Neurology, and others.
I am calling the newsletter CPC: Changes, People, and Comments. The Changes section will largely depend on information I receive from the readership about new chairmen or chairwomen, people assuming new positions, people in practice assuming offices in major medical societies, etc. The information should be sent to the Neurology office noted at the end of the Comments section. A color photograph would also be useful. People are interested in changes in our specialty, so please take advantage of making these known to your friends. Your creditors probably won't read the section, so you won't be tracked down because of publicizing a change of address.
For the next section, People, I will interview someone of interest in our field. Dr. James Toole, the newly elected president of the World Federation of Neurology, has supplied the first one. Your suggestions for subjects would be helpful.
Finally, I have just come off a stint as chief editor of the Archives of Neurology, and am experiencing a certain withdrawal from being able to rant and rave at authors, the readership, or editorial assistants, so Dr. Griggs said I could add some personal comments of my own, …

Submission specifications:
- Submissions must be < 200 words with < 5 references. Reference 1 must be the article on which you are commenting.
- Submissions should not have more than 5 authors. (Exception: original author replies can include all original authors of the article)
- Submit only on articles published within 6 months of issue date.
- Do not be redundant. Read any comments already posted on the article prior to submission.
- Submitted comments are subject to editing and editor review prior to posting.
