A significant correlation was found between how appropriate it was to damage the victim in personal scenarios and the difficulty in identifying (r=.48, p=.01) and describing (r=.40, p=.03) emotions, as well as the TAS-20 total score (r=.51, p<.01). Said correlation was absent for impersonal scenarios. Conclusions: Impairments in identifying and describing emotions among patients with MS seem to have an impact on the way they judge moral dilemmas that present high emotional saliency. Our findings suggest there are shared neural networks feeding emotion and moral cognition which may be affected in a subgroup of MS patients.Disclosure: Dr. Sinay has received personal compensation for activities with Bayer, Biogen Idec, Teva Tuteur, Novartis, and Merck Serono.
